a frank and open letter to the Church:

As many have already pointed out, _we are failing_ at Christ's mission here on the earth.

Its time to

re-evaluate what God's mission is

according to the Word of God and take whatever steps needed to accomplish it. Sunday morning is not sufficient to the task. Individuals are not sufficient to the task. Individual churches are not sufficient to the task.

God's Power flowing through Every member of Christ's body is needed to fulfill His mission on the earth and in our communities.

In order to fulfill the mission of Christ we must

mobilize every member of Christ's body

on earth. We must

cellurize the church

AND

combine the church

to become good stewards of every resource God has given us.

We must especially our resources of spiritual gifts, time, energy, organization and money into fulfilling our mission as His church, re-directed and aligned on a prioritized basis with His mission on earth.

We must give up individual agendas and building individual kingdoms to build His. Churches must work together because it takes the whole church, the whole body of Christ working together to fulfill the whole yet varied aspects of the mission of God.

Leadership must be the first to model this. Who would want to give their resources to a church that is not being a good steward of those resources and because of this is not fulfilling its mission? As people see that we are correctly allocating the resources according to our mission as a church their giving will increase... the giving of their very lives to Christ and His mission.
